Thank you for visiting Caversham Booksellers’ Guestbook! Perhaps you have a tale you wouldn’t mind telling here, something to share of the intersection of your lives and ours — for which we’d be most appreciative, on the eve of our twentieth anniversary.

I’m not to put my own ticket into the bowl for the draw, but I think it’s permissible to write something in our newly wordpressed guestbook… could this be any more exciting? We’ve had another look today at the Heliconian Hall, and I played three or four chords on the Steinway. ah-hem. Thanks to Vicki, Veronika, Tony, Janet, Eric and Christine for your efforts and encouragement in planning the celebration. Don’t be shy, say more, and keep in touch.

    Dear Christine, Joe et al
Congratulations on 20 years of honest helpful and supportive literary activity. Caversham has been of great benefit to the academic as well as the general bookish community by providing space and opportunity to promote authors and psychological thought.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to be with you to celebrate your birthday in person due to some form of influenza that Im presently harboring. This allows me to more than comply with Joe’s request that I say “a few words” but I do have a message to share with Cavershams regarding staying in business. Dennis Hof, Nevada’s infamous Bunny Ranch owner said that his establishment was really in the business of selling dreams but to survive “you cant be too romantic or sentimental”. To sell the best books you have to be a bit ruthless about carrying the others, my books excepted of course. I send my best wishes to all and have a drink for me.

    Caversham, oh Caversham…
How I love thee:)) My favorite place to work in all the world.
Some amazing times, some amazing friends made, some incredible connections made, and lovely, lovely books…
Some of my favorite times: talking with Peter about my school work; standing over Joe’s shoulder watching him persue a new book (and trying to follow:); smokin’ with Al in the back yard; going through Christine’s book order and ordering some of them myself; drinking champagne and listening to Tony sing opera at a Christmas dinner on McGill; cleaning (with great satisfaction:); going to conferences to sell books; chuckles with Janet and Vicki about all kinds of things!; Eric’s warmth; Florence; a party in Joe and Veronika’s garden; being re-hired time and again… I could go on, and on.
From one of the best shelvers in the history of the place:))
    Happy Anniversary Caversham!!!
See you soon and love to you all…

I am so lookig forward to this evening. I no longer remember how or when but since you opened your doors I have always thought you were a godsend for the analytic, and psychological communities . Over the years you have been helpful, thoughtful and considerate in all your interactions. Thank you staff!

    Dear Joe and All,
I missed the party due to health concerns, but I want to thank Caversham for all their support and encouragement over the years. Since it was founded, Caversham has been the primary Toronto outlet for the books I have published since 1980, the series Studies in Jungian Psychology by Jungian Analysts. We are grateful, and also for the booktable they often set up for the local C.G. Jung Foundation of Ontario’s lectures. Long may Caversham thrive! – Daryl
